I choose the bear

@iamonfire696 I’m not sure of the reference…

@bijouxbroussard There is a question on social media asking women if they were alone in a forest would they rather be alone with a bear or a man who is a stranger.
Most women choose the bear because the odds are a bear isn’t going to pay any attention to you but if a man is alone with a woman he will take that opportunity to assault her.

@iamonfire696 Ah. That says a lot, doesn’t it ? 🥺

@bijouxbroussard it sure does, and the men that are outraged by this are the ones I wouldn’t want to be alone with.

@SilentObZerver If none were assailants, no one would. It’s actually unfortunate that so many girls and women have had that experience. And when boys have been assaulted, the majority of times (not all, to be certain), it was by men, too.

@SilentObZerver not all men but I don’t trust strangers.
I have had men I don’t know try to sexually assault me and men I do know sexually assault me. This is why in that metaphor I choose the bear.
If you’re not one of these men why does it matter? It’s not pointed at you.
