I hate being misunderstood when I'm in agreement with someone...

Maybe the person your talking to is picky and looking for an argument. Certain subjects tend to do that to people who can't comfortably navigate the situation. Or maybe they feel you are disagreeing with them by not saying exactly what they are saying. Delusional and gross behaviour totally not on you but I've seen it.
