Hugs at school

So the sub we had issues with was back yesterday and ask to talk to my daughter. She apologized to her but then asked her for a hug.
My daughter doesn't like to hug many people and told her no thank you. The teacher got upset and told her she was rude.
It really hurt my daughter

That sub really needs to learn how to respect a child's wishes. They should never even think about hugging a child in a school, it is wrong on so many levels.
You do not then tell the child they are rude when they do not wish to have a hug,

@Cigarguy101 Good idea. I just feel that offering a child a hug is inappropriate and then to say she is rude when she rightfully refuses, is downright stupid.

Unfortunately the sub does not appear to worldly wise.
This bodes ill for a future relationship between your daughter and her.
I hope this will be sorted so no one will comes out of it greatly harmed.
