Lmaooo I am cracking up rn; I fiiinally figured out why cats preserve their toys in water!! Some of Diem's favorite things to store there are:
food, hair bands (rubber variety, not GNR), balls....
Well, as is the custom at friggin 3:39am, she brought me a dry ball to play fetch with. She sat patiently on the bed behind it and watched me until I acquiesced and threw it.
The ball came BACK entirely drenched. Now, I am convinced this is not the ball I THREW, being that my bed is not near any bodies of water, she came back in a matter of seconds, and her water is now somehow entirely devoid of preserved, wet balls!!
When she brought it back to me wet, I noticed there was also a dry ball next to me. So I think that she is sooo smart that, when she cannot FIND the ball I threw, she can go right to her WATER to grab a COVERT ball....It saves FACE!!!!!!
She will never lose track of where her food and water are, and she can preserve them like a bear preserves food in a stream 🤣🤣🤣
Edit to add: It would be nice if my best friend stopped saying he "can't find any of her blue balls".
