I've come across that a few times when someone I know says they dislike another woman. Then the others start making assumptions that she's making excuses and she's jealous. I just keep my opinions to myself lol

Good observation. I've seen this a lot as well and never understood why the dislike is assumed to be because of jealousy when it comes to a woman not liking another woman. As you suggested, this assumption is rarely if ever made when it's a guy disliking another guy.

That’s because it’s assumed that every woman is in competition with other women. Unfortunately some women do see that as their role.

That is very true. Women are assumed to be petty while men's reasons are thought to be sensible. The worst is that women themselves even perpetuate this.

It wouldn´t be my assumption.
IMO both women and men may like or dislike others on their own criteria regardless genders.
And, sometimes, some men and some women may have "competitive" motivations but again (besides cultural triggers and ways to show it) the main thing is not IMO gender related.

Folk gender biased "explanations" are as empty mantras as the other more theorized nonsense on inner only "self" "insecurities". Both dimiss the nature of social interactions.

I think most people are a good judge of character and don't rush to conclusions. Some people are plain rude or aggressive. In some cases personalities don't mix. And in others there is some jealousy.
