Penny Actually he has. You need to look at the totality of all that he’s done—particularly since Demented Donnie nominated him to head HHS and the Senate Republicans, led by Senator (Dr.) Bill Cassidy (LA), voted unanimously to confirm him.
He fired all the experts on the Vaccine Advisory Committee and replaced them with his handpicked anti-vaxxers, he has cut federal funding for vaccines/medical research/worldwide virus surveillance programs, he has eliminated Public Health funding and fired current employees with years of expertise, he continues and ramps up his misinformation & outright lies & and suppresses accurate data of vaccine preventable cases & deaths, he has made insane changes to the schedule for routine childhood vaccines (which can effect the patients ability to get those benefits from their insurance companies), he is instrumental in changes that are driving rural hospitals out of business, he spreads baseless LIES & misinformation about the safety of vaccines which have literally saved MILLIONS OF LIVES FOR DECADES and prevented serious and permanent disabilities.
This is a partial list. These actions have made it very difficult, if not impossible, for hundreds of thousands of Americans to receive vaccines and other care.
We hear a lot about measles and rightly so—
measles is the most contagious disease known to man. Measles has a predictable death rate amongst those susceptible and it has a predictable rate of infectivity as well.
We are starting to see cases of pertussis. The polio virus has begun to again circulate in America (the viral RNA has been recovered in the waste water of multiple cities and communities). We are seeing a rise in neonatal hepatitis B infections. These will get worse with more frequent outbreaks—and this is
certain to happen because the rate of unvaccinated school children is on the rise nationwide.
