I Am A Person With Disabilities

Some people would think my disability isn't very serious. And in one way it isn't. I am a type one diabetic on an insulin pump. If I manage it I live a fairly normal life. And I love that. But behind the scenes I have to work very hard to keep myself "normal" and it's 24/7! Ten or so blood tests a day. Calculate carbs. Adjust basal profiles constantly. BUT this isn't complaining. I am glad to be alive. Perhaps I appreciate being alive more than most! Simply because I am!
