I Am A Person With Disabilities
I have what's called a hidden disability. I am a Type 1 Diabetic. I have been since I was little. We live a normal life! So it's a hidden disability. But it takes a huge amount of work to lead a normal life. Most people just take their granted for granted. I also have to calculate the grams of carbs I eat every time I eat. And type it in to a handset. I have to tell the handset if I am going to swim, cycle, walk. If I am prememstrual. I have to estimate how much basal insulin I'm going to need. And if I get it wrong I'm in trouble. Especially overnight when it can go seriously wrong. But a hundred years ago I would be dead. So I mustn't complain.
