I Am Overweight

I've already lost weight but still need to loose more. My weight loss stalled when my anemia got bad, being tired all the time is horrible on the appetite.

I work out hard when I can steal time for the gym. 115lbs on the squat machine, 90lbs on back, 60lbs on chest press. Not alot for most but considering my recovery from anemia and I had to start back in the lowest weights possible back in March, I consider it an accomplishment.

Dispite my body changing shape to more of a pear, I'm not loosing fast enough. I believe its dehydration thats causing water retention, age, and being gkuten intolerant doesnt help.

Im no quitter though. I will prevail.

Have you ever seen an endocrinologist and checked your thyroid? Or cortisol levels? They both can affect weight, even when dieting and exercising.

@DonaldTrumpet Nooo, you big meanie.. I never had an extreme amount of weight. I couldn’t lose a little when I was working out and cutting back on foods bad for you after I had a baby and learned it was related to that stuff.😒

@MellyMel22 so.... caffeine blocks iron absorption, so does taking certain supplements. I was taking Iron with my magnesium and potassium, blocking the iron.

Because my energy levels were dropping, I would drink coffee and or energy drinks, further blocking iron, putting stress on my adrenalines, and making me more tired.

As a result, my body would naturally seek a fast and easy energy burst so I could get through the day i.e. carbs and processed foods.

I finally went to my doctor after a year of running myself into the ground and had blood work done. Everything was perfect, including my thyroid but... they wanted an emergency transfusion because I was .02% from being admitted to the hospital for anemia.

So now that ive got my Iron levels under control and getting better, my apatite has changed, I can lift more weights, and even joke for a short distance however, I didnt gain over night and cant loose overnight.

Thanks for the suggestion though 🤗

@DonaldTrumpet I’d have no prob walking away from someone like that, but that he was not. I wouldn’t be with a little boy as you described.

@CC67219 Oh okay. That’s good you know what was causing it. They had to do my levels early morning to get accurate results that my primary missed.

I hope you feel better soon and get to where you’re working to soon 💜
