I Am Overweight

I've already lost weight but still need to loose more. My weight loss stalled when my anemia got bad, being tired all the time is horrible on the appetite.

I work out hard when I can steal time for the gym. 115lbs on the squat machine, 90lbs on back, 60lbs on chest press. Not alot for most but considering my recovery from anemia and I had to start back in the lowest weights possible back in March, I consider it an accomplishment.

Dispite my body changing shape to more of a pear, I'm not loosing fast enough. I believe its dehydration thats causing water retention, age, and being gkuten intolerant doesnt help.

Im no quitter though. I will prevail.

Have you ever seen an endocrinologist and checked your thyroid? Or cortisol levels? They both can affect weight, even when dieting and exercising.

It sounds like you are doing very well! Keep up the good work, and the results will continue. 👍🏻

Obliques and abs and bodyweight workouts will work great in addition to what you do

It's not a race! Slow and steady is better for sustainable results - Dieting causes the real weight loss - working out is muscle tone and helps metabolism. Do you avoid Gluten 100% ? Sounds like you are doing well...

@fun4us2b yes I avoid gluten but ive noticed i cant loose weight until my body feels really hungry. If I give in, the weight stays put, if I dont it drops. Thats why I believe I'm dehyrdated and as a resukt my body is retaining water to compensate.

You have this. I'm confident in that. Your determination is what will define success.

Maybe you're not getting enough protein?
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@Salix75 when I eat a lot of protein, it makes me feel bloated and miserable... I avoid it as often as I dare dealing with anemia.

You make me feel like shit. I need the self discipline sometimes
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@Suezuu are you kidding me!? This is by far not enough, its a tease at the very least.
Do you work out at all?
Suezuu · 26-30, F
Yes, but it's not at all as much as I want it to be
CC67219 · 46-50, F
@Suezuu so... i reward myself for going. They have message beds.
I joke that my knots are hold me together but after a good work out, I could cry laying in a message bed it feels so good. It helps motivate me.
No workout, no message.
