I lost my grandma in April 2019 to multiple myleoma. She was 83 years old.

She was diagnosed with it in 2008, so she had it for a while. In addition to having cancer she also lost two of her sons...which were my own father and an uncle. The last eleven years of her life were very rough indeed. Growing up as a black girl in 1940's and 50's Mississippi though, she knew what hard times were like. She was a very strong woman.
