I am now an insurance agent

So while I was away I had some major health issues that landed me in the hospital or resting at home. I wanted to find a job I could do at home or in an office so I studied hard with the help of Joel and my daughter and after 3 attempts I passed the health and life insurance test. Yep that's right I'm a insurance agent now. I work at a amazing agency that helps, incurages and supports me!

I am going to be 60 and thought about insurance for a second since I get age discrimination on the job market. Aside from being boring as hell, I figured all I could get is a sales position and I am burned out from 30years of sales jobs.

Dont you have to go out to sell insurance?
I took and passed the exam for life in Delaware in 2004, all of the agencies that were willing to interciew me, from north Wilmington to Dover, used a payscale where I'd make less than what I was as a security officer, and would only give me work books where potential clients had already declined purchasing policies. My late ex fiancee was working as an independent producer broker for a whole life outfit out of Arizona that only gave her old leads at $30 apiece, she accrued a debt to them for over $3,000. It took almost a year, but she got the state of Delaware Insurance Commissioner to get Lincoln Heritage to wipe it out because she was able to prove they were defrauding her. Be very careful with who you sign on with.
