I went to the optometrist's office yesterday.

I've had this weird blurring around bright lights for as long as I can remember. It's not great while night driving, but it never really caused any problems in my life so I didn't get it checked out. I've been getting eye strain these past few years, tried a few home remedies, nothing has really worked. Didn't get around to checking it out but it's super annoying.

I went to an optometrist yesterday to have them look at my eyeballs. First thing they did before even asking any questions was look at my eyeballs with a machine, and they pretty much immediately spotted the astigmatism. It's a pretty mild astigmatism, my vision is 20/25 without glasses. The nurse tried to view it further with some kind of machine, but she was trying to get it like 1 inch away from my eye and I couldn't do it. I kept flinching.

She gave me some fluid drops in my eyes that dilated my vision for tests, which made me way more light sensitive for a few hours. I picked out a pair of round glasses, and there was a sales lady hyping me up while I looked for ones that looked cute. <3 They'll arrive in a couple of weeks. She also offered me a pair of sunglasses, but I told her I have her own and put them on. And she was like "oooh nevermind, you know what you are doing." (: She was so fuckin' charming lol, she could sell snow in Antarctica. And that's my excuse for spending $250 on reading glasses.
