Small medical update

It’s been a whirlwind. A week of pain. 5 days in hospital with extreme pain. I’m getting discharged tomorrow. I will have copies of any and all paperwork. I am unable to work in my condition, so that makes things hard. I will be on a pain management plan. And meet with physical therapy a few times a week. I will be given a walker for an assistive device so I can ambulate. My movements are restricted. I cannot sit or stand straight due to the pain (even on the medication my pain level is high) I cannot bend, twist or lift anything deemed above 3-5 pounds. I cannot sit or stand for long periods or walk very far. And I struggle to get up and down on my own. They said recovery time is currently unknown because I’m not showing much improvement even following their care plan and my pushing myself. I will have several follow ups with my pcp, and I was told if I am still in pain and limited mobility they will do a neuro consult. Due to the state of my injury I was told there is a chance of a full recovery. But also a large chance I will be partially disabled. Fingers crossed for the best case scenario. I have a fuckton of paper work to submit to my caseworker or else I lose food benefits. But I cannot handle bills if I am not working. And the government is picky as hell about any kind of cash assistance, so I hope I can get some until I recover. But who knows. I’m just trying to survive and be here for my kids as best as I can tho I am limited right now.
