Dentist again tomorrow.

I'm having another tooth out tomorrow! The 3rd in about 18 months. Its tooth thats been capped for over 30 years, but its been painful of late ans i'm told ( after an xray) i've developed a cavity below the gum line which cant be repaired and infection has set in the root, hence the pain. I've been warned it will be a big job and the tooth will need taking out in sections.
Its also gonna cost the best part of £400!!
I'm not looking forward to it...

Take a painkiller before the procedure and this will help you to feel more relaxed knowing that you won't feel the injection as much. Tooth coming out in sections sounds worse than it is.
The sound of the drill, the crackling and the smell is all normal.
You may be anxious but your dentist is a skilled professional and will do all they can to ensure you come out of this with a clean socket.
Free of the nuisance tooth, cavity and infection.

My other advice is bring earphones as thats a really good tool to use to distract you, listening to your favourite music or podcast.

Good luck Ruby.

@Mellowgirl thanks flower. Sadly, i'm a seasoned pro with tooth extractions. My teeth have never been good, i've had a few out this way. Never nice.
Still....once it gone and Im healed, the pain will be gone. X
