Growing measles outbreak in Texas pushes U.S. cases above 520

Fueled by the ongoing measles outbreak in Texas, cases in the United States this year now exceed 500, according to state health department data.

The 523 cases recorded in less than three months represent the second-highest annual total the country has seen in a decade. In the only year with more cases, 2019, the United States nearly lost its measles elimination status.

Hmmmm, who was POTUS in 2019?

The outbreak has spread to three other states: New Mexico, Oklahoma and Kansas, where the WHO reported on Thursday that a DNA sequence of the virus was identical to those from Texas.

Has RFK, Jr’s message changed? Has he stopped recommending chicken soup and cod liver oil for prevention? Is he now pushing hard for parents to make sure their children are fully vaccinated with the time proven safe and effective MMR vaccine? Ummm, no…he’s not.

It’s time to get a qualified medical professional back in charge of the HHS and reverse all of Kennedy’s screw ups. Your health, your children’s health, and the health of all future generations will be glad you did!

Oh, and BTW, Kennedy just announced this week Draconian personnel cuts in the Public Health Service…

For those who are wondering: in 2019 the US reported a total of 1,274 cases of measles. But given that we are still in the first quarter of 2025 and the epi-curve is still rising and the geographical area is still expanding, I think it’s safe to say Kennedy and tRUMP’s entirely preventable epidemic will break tRUMP’s previous record!
