Have you ever donated blood?

@wildbill83 I wasn't going to say anything, but you're right. People donate blood because they are told it helps those who need it. That's true, but the Red Cross is a for profit business. You give them your blood for free and they sell it for an unbelievable profit.

@Nitedoc they all do it; you donate to a hospital because they say they need it...

but if you need a transfusion, they charge you thousands of dollars for it...

nothing charitable about it anymore

@wildbill83 I know. It should be exposed for what it is. It's a slippery slope though. We don't want blood supplies to drop down to critical levels but the profit margin is just unbelievable.
