@beaglehunter took me 2 whole years to pay off a $2000 hospital bill. All it was, an ambulance trip and a couple hours in a room at the hospital.

That's $2000 WITH employer sponsored health insurance. I was only paying those blood suckers $150 a month.

@twiigss Seeing that you are still alive, maybe you should be happy to pay the $2,000. Next time stay home, after all, you aren't required to go to the hospital or to a doctor.

@Diotrephes don't I wish. I have a seizure disorder and because of listening to bad advice from my former doctor I had 2 back to back grand-mal seizures. Mom panicked and called the ambulance because she'd never seen me have 2 like that.

So my blood level was low for my medicine I take that controls my seizures. Controls as in I don't have them unless my blood level drops before a certain number.

Sorry but I am required to go to a neurologist for my medicine and to the hospital for getting my blood level back up.

@twiigss You have my best wishes for good health. Things can get depressing when you, and loved ones, become sick. I think we are all better off, regardless of our conditions, intoday's world than we would have been in the past. Lots of health care plans have maximun out-of-pocket limits, which can vary quiet a bit among them. We should be glad that we don't have to pay the total bill.

@twiigss Thanks for the kind words. I expect that my health will take a turn for the worse within a couple of years. I am working on getting my affairs in order. It's a lot of work and I want to get it done while I'm still healthy. When I do get sick, I don't plan on hanging out at the hospital. I hope I will go into a coma at home and fade away.
