The UK's socialised healthcare and welfare

Many brits like to flex against Americans, talking about how great it is that they have an NHS and all these handouts.

But then among themselves, they complain about the endless queues for the most basic of healthcare procedures, and the fact that every other person on welfare doesn't actually need it but treats going onto it like a lifestyle choice - some people want to be a teacher/doctor, some people are happy on a small welfare check to spend on drugs.

I literally just heard a British woman complain about tourists coming in and using their free healthcare,,,,so you would rather they die and/or go into debt. They complain about everything. For a country that has free healthcare you would think they would have better teeth.

It's just that if as a Brit, you'd find it tough to even get into many other countries, let alone receive healthcare out of the wallets of their native population.
I'm not sure what you mean, we have no problem going to other countries, remember that UKs in Europe, so around 40 countries alone. We also have the Eurostar train (cross channel) and just hop on and we will be abroad in 40 mins. Also, we have travel NHS insurance for health emergencies abroad which is often free.

@SkeetSkeet that is not true though, energency healthcare is available to all but not other nhs services, that woman is driven by Brexiteers .... the biggest cost to the nhs is missed appointments. People who do not show up basically.

As for the teeth fallacy... it has come up a lot here so i will explain. Colgate ran a 1950s ad campaign in america making fun of british teeth ... there was no basis to this campaign but it has been joked about by americans since then which is fine because general dental hygiene in the uk is better than in the US and cheaper and we are not slaves to capitalisic marketing

@BabyLonia Haha, you live and learn. I always wondered where the Americans got that from.
