My glucose is at 109

It hasn't been this perfect in a very long time. It makes me want to sit here and do nothing. No excercise (it might cause me to drop low) No snacking or eating (this would raise my sugar level.)I'm just going to sit here and read and soak up some good endocrine system benefits...that are invisible. 🤗

awww want to stay perfect eh?
GoFish ·
@Mindful nice lol tho you have to eat something eventually for it to stay up ☺
Mindful · 56-60, F
@GoFish mine has a tendency to stay high so I have to inject insulin to eat. When that happens it starts fluctuating as the food and insulin try to balance out. Are you type 2 diabetic?

@Mindful no my husband is

Congrats on getting there!
Hey, congrats on good glucose management. That's huge!! A relative has now gotten their's consistently under control, and it's such a victory for them ☺
@Mindful Was on Metformin, plus diet control. That contributed significantly.

Of course weight management helps also.

Some people have tried Ozempic which works wonders, but the nausea takes a while to get over.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@SethGreene531yeah... my body malfunctions on Ozempic. But I've heard great things about metformin. As a T1 Diabetic I'm insulin dependant.
@Mindful Not everyone tolerates it well; I understand.

Yes, metformin has worked wonders for their T2.
For you, it would probably greatly reduce the insulin you'd need to take.

Great reading, nice!!

I had to start drinking psyllium husk 15 minutes before meals and exercise 15 minutes after eating to get those readings 2 hours after dinner. The pharmacists at the VA were clueless.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@Pfuzylogic wow, I've never heard of psyllium. I just checked on it and it slows down absorption of carbohydrates but may interfere with the absorption of other meds that I take. I'm glad it works for you tho.
Pfuzylogic · M
@Mindful I take my meds a half hour before I drink the psyllium.
I don’t have anything that needs to be absorbed that quickly in my intestines.
