Exactly..and I hate it when people look at candy and say, "Youll get diabetes from that". Uhh no candy in moderation does not itself cause diabetes. Or when I've talked about my sisters constant high sugar for years, people say, she should eat low carb. She's been doing that for Years. 😕 She can eat eggs and her damn sugar can go high. It's a very intricate disease based on many factors, even stress level . It's truly not someone's fault, I agree.

@Baybreeze It is very hard disease to fight really and although, I do believe going low-carb will help me greatly, because in my case I can see that it is helping, you are not cured from diabetes, because even if the low carb reverses it for some, if you go back to eating the way you did before you're going to have high sugars again ,because you are diabetic.
I have a sister who eats all kinds of sweets she has never had diabetes.
She is 70.
So it's not young metabolism, she simply isn't diabetic.

@Justmeraeagain Exactly and I had a friend who was plus size, over 300 lbs and she was not type 1 or type 2 diabetic.
And it' sucks because even eating low carb or keeping sugars stable as my mom does, it still doesn't get a whole lot better through the years.

@Baybreeze that's too bad there is a population within the diabetic 2 community that is very insulin resistant and I believe that's probably very hard to control
