My health is not so well

Ive be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in june 2025 and i am still processing on how to live with it, i hate most of the time and i am very embarrassed of sharing it with others especiallymy friends and family, i have a family history of this disease in my family.
And its hard eating no carbs, i am still lacking on that end. I am hopeful my dr, booked in an appt for me with dietitian. And jus recently in December been diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids smh all my tests are clear, no concerns but jus hemorrhoids, life is really at me for my lack of eating healthy but my niece is in her late 20s and shes overweight and doesn't have any health problems idk why my health is declining, its not fair!!! Universe or someone is probably praying for my downfall bc i never once had health problems until... Been bleeding for a 5days st8 with blood clots, i am really worried i might be something serious but i jus seen the my dr 2 weeks ago and he said all my tests are good and its jus hemorrhoids i have, i have the painless hemorrhoids, we only get the dr in once a week, so no dr in my community this week, jus going in to see the nurse, so i can be seen right away when the dr comes in. Ugh, i am eating enough fibers and taking my stool softeners but still have blood in my stools, i keep worrying bc i am always on google smh.

Don't be discouraged. It's not the end of life and you will receive a lot of contradictory advice over diet. I have been told no carbs and that some carbs are ok. Same with sugar. It's low sugar not no sugar. Fruit is good, fruit is bad: I've been told both.

I'm not giving you any advice other than to find a moderation with the aid of one trusted source suggested by your medic. I don't know where you are, but I only listen to NHS advice in the UK and ignore the internet 'gurus' and even my well-meaning friends. That's one way to keep sane. I still enjoy my treats, but not as often as I used to.

I wish you well as you work through it.

@FreddieUK well said. I was told I was nearly diabetic. So threw out my stash of sweets. Reduced my sugar in hot drinks, we already have brown bread. Agree we’re only listening to the NHS advice. We all need some carbs.

The better you look after yourself the better your be and even some times you can get back to normal

@nevergiveup You're right: it can be reversed. Mine was for a few years, but my nurse told me that it is a progressive condition.

@FreddieUK I am now on 4 injections a day with a load of tablets. Its a pain but i dont let it stop me having a good life

@nevergiveup Well done. I hope I won't need the injections, but I will take whatever continues to give me a good quality of life. At the moment Metformin has been brilliant for me.
