That's not a good thing . You can get really sick from that. The keto diet isn't for everyone...but I would be very careful and get some guidance from a nutritionist first

@pripyatamusementpark yes i also thought that as i was diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis as i had already lost so much weight
@SW-User The weight can be a sign that your diabetes is out of control ...it's not always a good thing to see signs of weight loss . It's a sign something is very wrong . I hope you have a good doctor or endocrinologist to help you get back on track . Diabetes is nothing to mess with .

@pripyatamusementpark yes it was out of control and i was admitted in critical care unit and I was on oxygen as i had breathlessness as huge bicarbonate deficiency .. my body was all acidic
@SW-User Yes ..it's really scary ..I'm guessing you're type 1 because of you going into DKA and your age .

SW-User
@pripyatamusementpark I dont know because DKA can also occur in people with T2D
@SW-User I think it's rare though
@SW-User Did they do a c-peptide panel ?

SW-User
@pripyatamusementpark Yes..
and T1D mostly occurs in kids and I am adult so I dont know...

SW-User
@pripyatamusementpark No they didn't do it.

SW-User
@pripyatamusementpark I am recently diagnosed not even month old
@SW-User ask your doctor to give you one . They need to determine if you are type 1 or type 2 . To properly treat it . Quite ofter people are misdiagnosed as type 2 who are type 1 and this can lead to years of frustration and possibly getting very sick . I speak from experience.

SW-User
@pripyatamusementpark yes that was my question too so when the next time i visit to doc ill ask her to do c peptide test
@SW-User yes!
