What’s the best way to prevent roller coaster’ing blood glucose ?

Type 2 DM here. Today my blood sugar has been anywhere from 70 to 275, and it’s only noon. I had oatmeal with strawberries and pecans and a few brown rice cakes with some cream cheese on them. Everything was stable and then two hours later, had an huge spike. Any ideas how to keep the glucose more stable?

You ate a lot of carbs, carbs is sugar. Eat meat and eggs better for you. Eat cut oats instead of processed oatmeal,it has a lot of sugar..

@masterofyou it was steel cut oatmeal, but I think the other stuff was the problem.

My sugars usually stay really stable during and after the meal. It’s not until 2-3 hours later that things start to go sideways.
