Anyone know if CVS clinic tests for diabetes?

It's 2am, can't sleep as usual, due to hunger.

I have a few diabetes symptoms.

My PCP appointment isn't until 3 more weeks.
I cannot wait that long.

CVS website is down right now so does anyone know?

That isn't CVS 's thing. They can give you a COVID shot though (if you are due for one)

Instead go to your primary care physician, they will get to you a LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics to get bloodwork done. They can test for all sorts of stuff from that one test including blood sugar levels. When you hit 40 if you see a doc regularly they will ask you to get routine blood tests anyway as an ongoing maintance process---kinda like taking your car in to get a oil change tune up

Many of us folks over 40 get regular blood work done--it ain't nuttin.

@robertsnj I'm gonna see a new PCP in a few weeks. Last one was a quack.
Thank you for your response though

Not sure..they probably do have a monitor in the clinic to check blood sugar. What symptoms do you have?

@iamnikki Have you also lost weight? For no reason..that is another symptom. I would try your PCP first to get a blood sugar check.

@Coralmist no, gaining because I'm always hungry

It’s best to get a fasting blood glucose test written by your primary doctor and sent to a lab. It’s more accurate than the home monitors. CVS is for flu and Covid shots.

@SW-User CVS does more than that. Thanks though

You can get a home test for that…it’s called an A1C

@cherokeepatti is it accurate?

@iamnikki seems like it
