Do your HBA1c test. That is a more accurate reading than a fasting sugar.
A lot of people have a higher fasting sugar because of something called the Dawn Phenomenon, where your body pumps out adrenaline which turns to sugar for someone to function in their mornings. And it may be nothing to be concerned about.

@MartinTheFirst I used to have PCOS. One of the symptoms is pre diabetes. All reversed now.

@SW-User and cortisol is high when you first wake up in the morning which can give you higher blood sugar levels.

@SW-User mine is kind of high as well. I had adrenal pcos (prolactin) hormone when I was younger. It鈥檚 normal now since I reached my 40s.

@SW-User Yes, it causes weight gain ang slow metabolism which leads to high cholesterol and blood sugar so we have to be extra careful. I gain weight soo easily myself.
