I found out I was diabetic and was at 460 with an A1C of 10.9. That has totally changed to an A1C of 7.0 but I couldn’t tell I had diabetes then. 370 sounds high now.

@Pfuzylogic u type 1 or 2?
370 is low for me these days. That’s why this is a big deal to me.

@Pfuzylogic awesome! Type 2 is easier on the system and I’m your A1C is pretty good. Great for a diabetic! Do you have a Wearable glucose monitor ? I just got one and it’s great if you have an iohone

@Mindful I just prick my finger once or twice a day. The VA has helped me with very cheap insulin and I am amazed on what a benefit it has turned out to be.

Oh that’s awesome! You are doing very well. This monitor is imperative for type one. @Pfuzylogic

@Mindful
I heard Type 1 is a more demanding challenge. You sound very diligent.

I can’t do anything without a doctor who understands and believes what I say. When companies force you to change insurance plans, those plans force you to change doctors, and I for one have to “go back” and prove my diabetes etc etc because I had such a BAD doctor last time. It’s complicated. Even doctors so t understand it. You definitely have to be intuitive with science ... to be a good doctor. Not just “read and pass a test”. I found a reasonable intelligent reasonably caring doct. Who was willing to run tests immediately so that he could treat me properly. So I’m good until I’m forced to change doctors again. Then I have to start all over. @Pfuzylogic

@Mindful You have my sympathy.
I never realized how fortunate I am to have the VA for my medical needs.
