A science experiment every day. But the good news, this gadget will help me! I’m loving it. I have evidence of what’s happening!!!! So I know the doctor will learn something he didn’t believe . @SW-User

I found out I was diabetic and was at 460 with an A1C of 10.9. That has totally changed to an A1C of 7.0 but I couldn’t tell I had diabetes then. 370 sounds high now.

@Mindful
I heard Type 1 is a more demanding challenge. You sound very diligent.

I can’t do anything without a doctor who understands and believes what I say. When companies force you to change insurance plans, those plans force you to change doctors, and I for one have to “go back” and prove my diabetes etc etc because I had such a BAD doctor last time. It’s complicated. Even doctors so t understand it. You definitely have to be intuitive with science ... to be a good doctor. Not just “read and pass a test”. I found a reasonable intelligent reasonably caring doct. Who was willing to run tests immediately so that he could treat me properly. So I’m good until I’m forced to change doctors again. Then I have to start all over. @Pfuzylogic

@Mindful You have my sympathy.
I never realized how fortunate I am to have the VA for my medical needs.

You don't take drugs for diabetes?
Mindful · 56-60, F
Only insulin works on a type one diabetic. It’s very different from type 2. Yes I take insulin. But Thpe 1 is autoimmune@SW-User My body is in constant conflict with itself and it’s hard to know which way to go... eat? Don’t eat? Insulin? No insulin? With this monitor on my arm I will know at any given moment the direction my sugar level is going! Right now it is normalizing so I don’t have to do anything. If I could not see my sugar level normalizing, I might have eaten a snack and thrown my sugar off course.
You never know if it’s going to go low or high, you can only guesstimate. But below this graph is telling me I am okay over the past hour so do nothing![image deleted]
