Covid tests - does anyone still do them? Can you get them for free or do you have to pay?

Just wondering. My daughter got rat'd by her mum earlier in the week and the result was negative. I don't keep rat's at home as I never need them. Apparently they are sold for ludicious prices at chemists (equiv of drug stores).

I wouldn't know where to get a PCR test from. The government stopped making them free ages back, and all the drive through testing clinics disappeared.
