Quarantine during the pandemic was a dream come true

Ahhh yes. Quarantine. That special time when all those people who were always complaining they wish they had more time to spend with their family and on their hobbies..... Realized they hated their families and had no hobbies.

It was great as the first time working fully remote. Instead of wasting time BS-ing with someone in the office, spending too much for lousy food in the cafeteria, and spending an hour or more driving, I could do a small task around the house, spend lunch outside, and my home office was seconds away. The house was kept in shape, ate healthier, and had a pretty good tan (lol) in addition to getting my work done.

I think a lot of people were disappointed when the corp went hybrid after we proved we could keep the place running without being in the office. Eventually I took a remote job with a different corp and I probably wouldn't have considered it without the pandemic as a primer.

Zoom meetings for classes was a joke though
