Is losing sense of smell part of covid 19?

Now I know sometimes when you have a bad cold you can’t really smell, but now as I am eating, I have a different smell. Like I’m losing my sense of smell. It’s like a stale bad smell but not really bad. I can’t smell the food regularly if that makes sense. I’m trying to describe it as much as I can. I can still taste which is good.
I am still congested, have a runny nose but I am feeling a bit better. Don’t have a fever which is good. I got tested positive for covid Saturday night so I’m staying home from work for a couple days.
Also I now have diarrhea. Is it normal for the symptoms to come a couple days later?

Yes, you can lose both smell and taste, and both can go a few days after the initial fever and aches etc have passed.
@Whodunnit Damn…

@CraftyMarieArts It's usually only temporary 🤗
@Whodunnit Yeah that’s true. I’ll be better before you know it. It sucks that I can’t go anywhere but gotta be kind and keep away to be safe

@CraftyMarieArts Five to ten days should do it, though you may lose your senses for a fortnight or so.
@Whodunnit I know where we live, we have to be isolated for 5 days, at least at my job
