So I’m waiting to see if I have Covid…
On Wednesday night, I started to get a bit of a scratchy throat. Then by Thursday afternoon, my throat started to feel a little sore & I started getting a dry cough. I also had a head cold & headache. I canceled my evening class & took a nap at 5pm. I woke up at 6pm with a fever of 102.4. I got chills when I went to sleep that night, & my fever was up & down. Yesterday morning at 5am, my fever was 104.8, so I called in sick for my hospital job. I did a PCR test, & the same swab will check if I have the flu. I’m still waiting for the results, which I should get by tomorrow.
My symptoms got worse yesterday because I got the runs as well. I still had a fever today, but 101.8 was the highest. It’s the coughing fits that are the worst, so I made fresh ginger tea which is helping.
Once I get the results & depending how I feel tomorrow, I’ll decide if I have to find a sub for my classes. I really hate doing that, but I have no choice.
I haven’t been this sick since January 2020. The worst part is I can’t even cuddle with my daughter. We miss each other even though she’s in the next room. 🥺❤️
