My family doesn’t believe I’m sick.

I told them I may not be able to come because I got a cold. I felt horrible earlier this morning because I threw up a bit, bad cough and feeling tired. My brother was like, “Girl what the hell have you been eating? Anyways that covid thing isn’t a joke.”
And I agreed. My uncle was like, “You have a cold? You were feeling just fine yesterday when I talked to you on the phone. How are you sick? I think you’re just saying that to get out of it. You’re going to stay home over a little cold? Get over it. Get your ass up and get your day started. You’re not a little kid anymore.”
I work with kids so I must of caught it from them. A couple of them were sick and I got it. I feel a bit okay. No coughing right now, but it’s best if I stayed home today. I know the even doesn’t start until 2pm.
They don’t care about me like they did when I was a child. One of my cousins said, “Take medicine. You’re an adult now. Figure it out. It will go away. We expect you to be ready by 1pm. You don’t sound that sick.”
My temperature is 97.6. I have no fever but my head still felt warm earlier.

It sounds like flu. You dont throw up over just having an cold. You know your own body and how ill you actually feel. They cant see inside you and they arent doctors so they have no rights to accuse you of faking it. Maybe they have been accusing you of faking it if you have an history of doing it to avoid doing things or going to school or work then that makes sense but they should give you the benifet of the doubt and beleive you because they have no idea how you feel physically as they arent living in your body

@SW-User I didn’t fake being sick. I and tired, nose is stuffy not coughing right now. They have no right to accuse me, you’re right.
