So I don't pray a lot, but I need some genuine prayers rn

I'm Christian, but I don't pray much, I stopped many years ago asking God for stuff, because it was not coming true, so I thought it was pointless, and stopped asking.
Now, recently more people in my life, here included, told me that I should leave my faith in God's hands more and pray more.

I'm feeling like I got a cold today and I got a vacation trip in a day, also I've been living with somebody that has covid rn. Taking care of them, but being super cautious about it.
I made 2 covid tests tonight, and both were negative.
But still can any of you pray for me, that it is indeed just a cold, and that it will heal by the time I have to go on my trip?

there is no god or satan. no heaven or hell. we are just gone when we die. we evolved over billions of years from the cooling planet that formed very simple single-cell life then that single-cell life got more and more complex over a billion years until the great leap was made to multi-cell life. once that leap happened we had the explosion of life. religions were invented to control people and to make people think there was an afterlife so they would not go crazy from knowing they are gone when they die.

@trackboy Okay, tell us exactly how religions control people. Do they make people go to church? Do they force them to tithe? They can't come and go as they please? Except for the brainwashed cults, you're not going to force people to do something if they don't want to.

What did that look like? God's Word tells us exactly how we got here and it wasn't by accident.

No heaven or hell? Either you have never heard the reason why Jesus came to Earth or you don't believe it. But over 500 people witnessed him die on the cross and then later resurrect into heaven to be with His Father. You can't claim they were all delusional.
