@CheekyBadger I'm more afraid of the injected. The uninjected had more discernment. Still, I have empathy, and understanding. It's a sorrowful event, no matter what. 😔

@Northerner I think it's more complicated than that, and that is rather the point - the leftists seem to have this notion that it is very simple problem to fix but they are completely wrong in every respect - part of it is ideology - leftists believe in sacrifice of the few for the "greater good" but at what cost? It never was a simple problem and so simple solutions cannot work but they could not see this. The reality is more nuanced but anyone who pointed this out was silenced/deplatformed/fired etc. They denied reality by saying stuff like "it's not seasonal" "there is no possibility of natural immunity" "you can't catch/transmit it if you wear a mask" "it's not possible for any existing medication to have any effect on it". Some of this was driven by corporate interests - e.g. promoting the idea that there was no possibility of natural immunity was a way to push politicians into paying out huge amounts of cash for vaccines. Likewise the main obstacle to repurposing existing treatments was the fact that the system is set up so that only drugs companies do large scale testing - they weren't going to pay to test a product that they can't make any money out of - so it never happened. What we saw instead was individual clinicians doing smaller scale testing and the scientists working for the drugs companies complaining that they too small to be taken seriously. Vested interests in public health departments reinforced this too. Some saw this as an opportunity to push for a societal revoloution - they tried that in US but fortunatly it didn't stick.

We saw shenanigans in UK when the publicly funded Astra Zenica produced vaccine was derided in Europe - this was as a result of lobbying by local drugs companies who fed the french president some BS about the AZ one being dangerous. As it turned out it was theirs that was responsible for much of the vaccine injury. The AZ one wasn't so bad after all. It goes on.

@CheekyBadger loads and been happening for over 2years. Will be interesting to see how the covid fanatics will act going forward. "Well we didnt know at the time...." "The experts told us...." Or will it be the doubling down we have right now. Difficult to admit youve been duped

@gol979 they will say that and ignore all those who were right at the time. I think they need to be held accountable but that's unlikely to happen.

@CheekyBadger agreed on both counts. They cant claim to not have known as anyone who questioned was called a tin foil hatter, dangerous misinfo spreader and they even were going down the "domestic terrorist" line

@gol979 I think that was off the back of classing this as "malinformation" which was defined as information that is true but doesn't align with the government narritive! People spreading malinformation could be considered domestic terrorists by the government! What world do these people live in!
