Why are we doing so poorly with the coronavirus?

The Spanish flu was over and done with in 2 years. We are in covid two and a half! And they had no vaccine!

The Spanish Flu was just the, Spanish Flu. Everything now is the Corona-virus, everything and will be for several years. No more Bird flu, Hong Kong flu, Swine flu. It will always be Corona-virus. Because of the funding tied to it now.

Viruses have gotten smarter over the years. We can’t disagree about that. The conspiracy people would point to the manipulation of Covid biologically from day 1, changes along the way to worsen things, nefarious intent in introducing it, modifying it and continuing the spread. Possible lies re the “vaccine” which technically isn’t even a vaccine, it’s an Governments have lied to us. The question is how deep and widespread are the lies. It could be white lies about small stuff or full blown plotting, the stuff movies are made of.

On the "bright" side, the first US case of polio in a decade or more had popped up. :(

@nudistsueaz Yes, those Northern European tourists.
Not sure how to determine just how poorly or how well we are doing with covid. The world population was about 1.7 billion back in 1917 as compared to 7.7 billion in 2019. We're more densely populated and global travel is much easier which heavily contributes to spread. We also vaccinated into a pandemic, which many immunologists believe led to mutations and escape variants. Like the flu, looks like we'll have to deal with covid from now on.

Fauchi, WEF, Biden, CDC, FDA have no plans to end the pandemic. This is all about control has nothing to do with health. The WEF even admitted to this.

Have you looked around? We still have the flu, it didn't disappear after two years in the 1910s, merely mutated into new variants -- that's why they have new flu shots every year. Perhaps it "ended" back then because it killed the tens of millions who were susceptible to it? That's how natural herd immunity works -- kill off anyone who is susceptible, cull the herd. COVID keeps mutating, people keep refusing to believe it's real and get vaccinated or even take precautions.

My understanding is all of these flues are still around, but most people have built up immunity...seems that is what will happen with coronavirus...I also understand having so many unvaccinated people keeps it spreading more.

@Wiseacre People that are still alive and survived the Spanish Flu were tested for those anti bodies two years ago. Guess what, they still had the antibodies for the Spanish flu in their systems. So the six month thing isn't the fact. We are both carrying the antibodies for Corona from two years ago. According to the Mayo Clinic.

O, must’ve changed...good news!@nudistsueaz
nudistsueaz · 61-69, F
@Wiseacre Yes it is.
population is at a level the world has never seen, the glaciers are thawing and reintroducing all kinds of things, the earth is extremely polluted and filled with dioxins down to the underground water tables. i believe we are on the way to extinction but people have thought that many times before and still we go on. so idk.
