Crazy Covid rules

Here in Western Australia there are inconsistent rules regarding Covid restrictions
Large Sports Stadia are allowed 50% capacity - Optus Oval can have 30,000 people
While spectators are banned from community sports. They struggle to have 300 - 400 spectators at any time.
I attended the Cricket match at the WACA on Thursday, 1000 people there all seating in one section of the ground.
The local Soccer club is not allowed any spectators today, they would never get 200 spectators attend a match.
500 meters up the road the is a scratch match taking place for Aussie Rules local competition, there would be 300 people there with no restrictions

It’s insane, and nothing to do with science.
Makes no sense...

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Yet there is nothing the public can do.
Stupidity is ruling at the moment
@Gusman Apart from needing masks in healthcare settings we are restriction free from Monday...and I haven’t been following the rules anyway

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I ignore the rules as much as possible but sometimes staff jump on you for not wearing a mask.
Especially the Library and the local betting shop.
Perth is having plenty of positives covids results right now - averaging around 7000 a day.
With 32 deaths to date. We were "stuck" on 9 deaths for about 18 months but since we opened our border to the rest of Australia at the start of this month, whammo, eastern states brought it with them.
So locals are starting to die.

@SW-User Absolutely does.
Stuff the little people, there's money in big crowds.
No use complaining though, won't do any good.
Best way to screw them over is to vote against them at the next election. 🖕 🤣
