What is the Difference Between The First 2 Covid Injections and the Booster(s)?

I cannot find any discernable difference.

If there is no difference would you have taken any injections if you knew you had to take up to 4/5 in a year and a half?

There’ll be small changes to address mutations, but it’s primarily about building immunity - subsequent vaccines boost your immune response.

Take the Polio vaccine as an example; you need 4 injections minimum to achieve immunity. Each one is providing an increased level of immunity.

@SW-User so its a different concoction in the boosters? Have you got a full list of ingredients for the original and subsequent boosters?

Are there other examples of injections that only require one shot or can we only use polio as a comparison?

@gol979 All the ingredients are the same - just some boosters may be less potent than a primary vaccine (i.e. Moderna), as the mutation is less deadly, albeit more transmissible.

Most vaccines require a booster; influenza, meningitis, tetanus, even Polio depending on your susceptibility. Usually this is because the vaccine contains an inactivated virus, not live.

There are some vaccines with the live virus that only require one or two dose; I’m thinking Chickenpox or Rotavirus.
