If the government were to shut the country down like new Zealand did how long do you think it would be before this virus is over.

I’m afraid the simple answer is never. The virus is now so widespread and so infectious that it cannot be eliminated. New Zealand is now to 'transition' to a 'living with Covid' policy. With only 52% of the population fully vaccinated it will be interesting to see what happens.
