Zero covid strategy

Why are some countries still holding to it with so many vaccinated people? It is time to accept that covid-19 is here to stay.

Every other virus has disappeared and there is no reason why this won'but if it stays then life will go on and we will live with it.
@Platinum Not sure the truth of this influenza each year is still an issue. We do just live with and those who wish inoculation receive it. Sars-cov-2, novel coronavirus (not so new now, thankfully and maybe we are finding ways to treat it better), will likely become very similar. But that's far from it being gone

We had a similar virus in 2003 and that disappeared and we had Spanish flu in 1918 that killed millions and was far worse than this one, but it disappeared....the vaccine now is saving lives@thewindupbirdchronicles
@Platinum You're killing me - the real data from the Spanish flu, does suggest bacterial infection killed more than the flu then. Difference in care and we don't know now if what we are living with wouldn't have killed more in a different time, and vis a vis, less in the future as we learn and find new ways to deal with these things

@thewindupbirdchronicles if facts are killing you, then get vaccinated .....of course if Spanish flu was about now, not as many would have died...but a war was on and there was no control, but it still disappeared....
@Platinum Beautiful assumption, I am fully vaccinated.
