That is up to society to decide. The Spanish Flu of 1918 was worse than this, and society came out in the 1920s with the economy booming. So, as long as we don't cave into the fear we will be okay.

Life is changing everyday. Life has forever changed after the invention of computer, smartphones, steam engine, etc.
So will life change after COVID.
I can see that happening in a few ways, people have seen the benefits of less traffic on air pollution as well as how contagious crowds can be (doesn't matter what disease is circulating), people has seen the benefits of working at home (cost savings on the part of the employers) etc etc.

It has definitely been altered for ever, not drastically but from here on in there will be life before Covid and then life after Covid.
