I learned on Tuesday that my boss passed away from Covid. I am so sad :(

Oh, so sorry.
I lost my uncle in January to Coivid.
My first boss, Larry, the one that hired me out of college, also died recently. He had retired several years ago, then shortly after got hit by a car while out for a jog. He had brain injuries and never recovered his former self. Then he got Parkinson's, which eventually killed him (I never knew he had it until after he died).
It is creepy. Yesterday somebody asked me my opinion on something mathematical, and I said I had no opinion, I always relied on Larry's expertise. I still have a lot of his e-mails. Creepy.

@JoyfulSilence I am so sorry for your losses. It is surreal when someone dies because although they are gone, so many tangible items remain to constantly remind us. For example, there are still signs that my boss taped to her desk stating, "Please do not sit here as I am at risk for Covid. I am Covid-free and would like to stay that way." I looked at one of the signs the other night and nearly ended up in tears.
