Just Thank You
I am a part time Teaching Assistant just working one day a week to see me through college. Last summer we never closed. People were scared. But my school stayed open for all the children from other schools and their parents worked in the hospital. After a few weeks they restricted the classes to ten. With a teacher and a teaching assistant.
We had children from 3 up til 12. We wore aprons and gloves. We were so careful. And the children were there from 8 until 6. Every day. We didnt shut for holidays in those times. Morrisons sent 100 eggs to my school. Easter eggs on the Thursday before Easter. Knowing the sacrifice the kids were making. It's how it was back then.
Now it seems strange looking back. The kids are all back in school. But we been through a lot. The talks I had with some of those kids back then sitting out on the yard. Kids have a much deeper understanding than we give them credit for.
I am glad that 16 year olds are now voting in the elections for the Senedd. The parliament in my country.
