A factor of vaccination

Inflammation is a bad but common effect in illness. Read. Then see, "Post Vaccination Inflammatory Syndrome"

https://www.niehs.nih.gov/health/topics/conditions/inflammation/index.cfm

Vaccinations are not for everybody, just for most people. Those of us for whom inflammation can kill, are at high risk, and must wait for herd immunity.

This black-and-white view of Covid vaccine is senseless. People need to learn more.

I will not take it!

I think choice is valid. If we take it and it destroys us, what has been accomplished? @Oster1

Ahh, maybe people are destroyed!@FlowersNButterflies
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@Oster1 why not?
Oster1 · M
Because I will not take a gene therapy shot. It’s not a vaccination@Doomflower
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Oster1 Uh...inoculation isn't gene therapy, you do know that, right? Vaccination has existed since centuries before we even theorized the possibly of gene manipulation.
Oster1 · M
There never was a vaccination for the common cold, OK?@BlueMetalChick
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Oster1 And what does that have to do with gene therapy? Don't reply in weird non sequitur.
Oster1 · M
I would never reply in weird non sequitur but a vaccine has never been found for the common cold. Even the influenza vaccine is not and has not shown efficacy.@BlueMetalChick]
Oster1 · M
@BlueMetalChick MRNA is gene therapy. There is no other reason for it.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@Oster1 okay so I hear your concerns. Tell me... are you afraid we are gonna get simian flu?

(That was a Planet of the apes reference)
Oster1 · M
No, I have no fear and I really do appreciate your comedic reply. I really do. I just have a valid interest in not taking this vaccine. You and I are cool, on this subject and I have much respect for you and your opinions.@Doomflower

@Oster1 I don't actually feel anxious about it. Some people won't take it. I don't blame them. It is kind of experimental and it is certainly not a traditional vaccine.

The reason I referenced simian flu was because it had roots in gene therapy.

Me I would like to get all the vaccines there are against COVID19. I want to see what happens. Do I get Xmen powers? Do I die of my brain bleeding? Either way I don't have to keep going to work.

@CopperCicada hmm, I have read otherwise.😊

@Oster1 Ok you do realize that the very name "mRNA" is proof that it's not gene therapy, right? Genes operate using DNA. I don't know if you noticed but DNA is not RNA.

Again I ask you, what does the lack of a common cold vaccine have to do with gene therapy?
