Does anyone know if a person in a position of power has had the Covid Vaccine?

I was wondering because I hadn't heard of the queen having had it (i live in the UK) and I'd have thought people in those positions would want to be vaccinated asap

If you believe the newspapers..
The Queen and other senior royals are expected to have COVID-19 vaccinations - but are resisting efforts to get them to go public over it. Palace officials are against any attempt by the Government to pressure the 94-year-old monarch and her family into joining a campaign to boost public confidence in the jabs by saying they've had them..
@JosephineTheFox that's interesting, so they either don't actually want to take it, or they just want to get on with it and not be used to get others to take it...
@Beautifullyderanged I think the latter. They must need to show some kind of approval of the Government's efforts, but probably don't want to be used as a publicity stunt.
Will you be having the vaccine?

@JosephineTheFox I have a medical condition where my immune system attacks my brain so I am generally nervous about taking anything that can affect me immune system without doing a lot of research into it. I happily take vaccinations that have been around a while and long term side effects and how it affects people with my condition are more well known, but this was made very quickly and we still don't know how it will affect people so it makes me hesitant.
@Beautifullyderanged I'm with you on the deficient immune system - I suffer badly myself.
But there is a flip side... Rather than think about how quickly this was made, we could question why other vaccines aren't deemed important enough to have the entire world working on a solution that is solved in mere months rather than years.
It's all about money, honey.
The one that makes it quick enough is the one that makes the big bucks.
I am struggling with it all though. I feel the same in terms of long-term effects.

@JosephineTheFox wow you're right, its all about the right kind of incentive and saving lives is not apparently enough. People always say that companies make more money from sick people then healthy people. I suppose in this instance it was a combination of money and the prestige of being the company to 'save the world' during a pandemic.

I'm sorry that you are struggling 😔
@Beautifullyderanged I think we are all struggling aren't we? We are all in different boats but it's the same damn storm ☹️

@JosephineTheFox Well I suppose we should stock up on some good wellies. On the plus side at least we are realistic about it. I feel bad for the people who seem to think that now we have a vaccine its going to just stop and all go away and everything will be back to normal. They don't think of how it works with the flu, or that the vaccine doesn't actually stop you potentially getting it or transferring it, it just lessens the symptoms but they are so in denial and it makes me scared for how they'll be when they realise the reality of it all.
@Beautifullyderanged Absolutely agree.
