I Have Something To Say About Coronavirus / Covid19

With the rate of 600.000 new infections per month, by November USA can reach 5.000 000 infected and 500 000 deaths. The election day in November can give 2 000 000 new infected this day . What do you think of such scenario ?

We don't know, the virus not what we think or do will determine its progression. It could be horrible like in past times or it could as trump says just go away.

@Subsumedpat with the risk of 2 000 000 getting infected on election day and 30 days after numbers could be 10 000 000. Death ratio is currently 6 %. It does not look things go away on their own . Would you still go and vote ???

@Khenpal1 The death rate is now where near 6% in fact when it all is over it will probably be less than 1%. The 2,000,000 figure came from a statistical model at the beginning of the pandemic and was based on what to expect if we did absolutely nothing. We are a far cry from doing absolutely nothing.

@Khenpal1 Not sure what gave you that idea, we have always had absentee ballots where I live.

@Khenpal1 we have heavy absentee balloting for the primary election here and the system had no problem handling it.
