The real dumbasses of this "pandemic" are the one who dont understand economics... ie: the "you only care about money and not peoples lives" crowd

@strongbow The odd thing is that people are taking sides, like if there was a "Team Economy" against "Team Health". The reality is that the economy will get hammered either way. In the early days I couldn't understand what was the fuss all about for a virus that could be avoided by just washing our hands (so the experts said back then). Then came Italy, Spain, New York... and it's obvious now that if there aren't strict lock-down and social distancing-measures in place, the economy will collapse just the same because there will be so many people sick and dying with the health infrastructure completely overwhelmed. So the economy is between a rock and a hard place. But I understand your point, it's almost taboo mentioning the economic impact of this pandemic nowadays, whoever does it is labelled as a heartless greedy bastard...
It's all related. The health situation affects the economy, and when the economy goes down the drain, everything else follows...
Here's a sobering analysis of all the ramifications of the pandemic: economic, social, geopolitical... It's not pretty.

(Yes, it's CNN and no, it's not just "liberal babble"...)
