I Have Something To Say About Coronavirus / Covid19

I'm very envious of people who are "bored" with the lockout. Personally I'm entertaining myself thinking how life will change 2 months from now, when I'm no longer able to pay my bills...
🙃
Practice pandemic optimism.

When you get to that point, so will everybody else - and who are they going to send out for repossessions?

A lot of states have set up 'no shut offs' for utilities and internet, landline and phone. No evictions and/or the courts are closed.

@Mamapolo2016 The fact that it's the Government I'll have to rely for help makes me even more nervous. It's the opposite of reassuring. I'm in Canada, but in both the USA and Canada there's a ocean of paperwork to navigate. Only once in my life I had to apply for government help (employment insurance for a few months) and that taught me that governments are no different than private insurance companies which portray themselves as caring and helpful but when it comes to reality, they just make excuses and put obstacles...

I'm in the same boat. I've got enough money to get me through for a couple of months. I'm not sure what'll happen after that.

this is why i try not to talk too much about it

The real dumbasses of this "pandemic" are the one who dont understand economics... ie: the "you only care about money and not peoples lives" crowd

@strongbow The odd thing is that people are taking sides, like if there was a "Team Economy" against "Team Health". The reality is that the economy will get hammered either way. In the early days I couldn't understand what was the fuss all about for a virus that could be avoided by just washing our hands (so the experts said back then). Then came Italy, Spain, New York... and it's obvious now that if there aren't strict lock-down and social distancing-measures in place, the economy will collapse just the same because there will be so many people sick and dying with the health infrastructure completely overwhelmed. So the economy is between a rock and a hard place. But I understand your point, it's almost taboo mentioning the economic impact of this pandemic nowadays, whoever does it is labelled as a heartless greedy bastard...

It's all related. The health situation affects the economy, and when the economy goes down the drain, everything else follows...

Here's a sobering analysis of all the ramifications of the pandemic: economic, social, geopolitical... It's not pretty.

(Yes, it's CNN and no, it's not just "liberal babble"...)

@drymer Sorry but the absolute last opinion im going to listen to is the Communist News Network and i dont believe everything the other MSM sector is portraying about this virus, they are sensationalizing it for many reasons, including their own
