So what the hell with this cancer?!?

My dad has lung cancer, but they can’t find a source…no tumors or anything. The only symptom is his left lung filling with fluid, and the fluid has malignant cells.

He was just confirmed with leukemia as well, but it’s an ultra rare kind that is generally only seen in people who have had long term exposure to radiation. And again, there’s no symptoms outside of some malignant cells in his blood along with some immature white blood cells.

The doctors are baffled by it, and considering he’s being seen at arguably the best hospital west of the Mississippi, that’s saying something.

What the actual hell 😭

It could be in the soft tissue or maybe cancer in the lining of his lungs.

Cancer essentially is malignant cells so to that extent it's not unusual...all cancers are caused by cells growing at an abnormal rate. White blood cells increase because they are trying to contain or get rid of the cancerous ones. These cells alone are often markers for cancer if there is no infection
