My dad had prostate cancer and died because f it...it metastasized to other parts of the body. I hope they caught it early in your case. Will they remove it?

@caesar7 I'm not sure what they are to recommend but we think it's just in my prostate so I'm hoping for the best

@Joe5663 I really hope for the best. Did you have BPH prior to being diagnosed with cancer at a later date?

@caesar7 no I had a physical two years ago and my psa was slightly elevated since then it's went up and then it got to 6.2 and recommended biopsy. That's lucky I guess

@Joe5663 That's great that you caught it in time...mine was checked two months ago and my urologist said that it was soft and no issues. I get it done digitally although she requisitions me to get a PSA every couple of years. I'm in good hands and lucky also. She is on top of it as my risks are there because of my dad so I am eternally grateful for her followups..

@Joe5663 My PSA went up to 15. I thought for sure it was prostate cancer. But then they found a mass in my kidney. Suddenly I was wishing I had prostate cancer. In the end, no cancer and the elevated PSA was from repeated UTI's. Want to know what cured it all? Probiotics.

@dancingtongue Sorry to hear that. Spreading to another organ denotes stage 4. My wife suffered with stage 3 colon cancer and went through the treatments. She beat it.

I see my urologist now on a regular basis. His opinion is basically if the PSA levels are high, we dig until we find out why. So far so good.

Good luck dealing with this new challenge.

@carpediem Well, I already was stage 4 with a high Gleason score before I got the colon news, so it wasn't exactly a shock.

@dancingtongue The best of luck to you
